Performing regular energy audits is mandatory for companies and organizations that are not classified as small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). According to the Energy Services Act (EDL-G), these companies and organizations must carry out an energy audit in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 every four years or introduce an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 or an environmental management system in accordance with EMAS. In addition, carrying out an energy audit is also a positive instrument for analyzing your energy use, for creating measures to increase your energy efficiency and reduce your energy costs. Ultimately this also reduces your CO2 emissions.
An energy audit may only be carried out by a qualified and independent auditor with the appropriate expertise and professional experience. Our auditors are of course qualified to carry out the energy audits and are recognized by the official BAFA body in Germany (see BAFA auditors list).
